Summer 2010 - Part 2

More fun summer activities -
Playing in the basement. The family room down in the basement is basically the kids' playroom.
They don't play there enough though, because they want to be near me all the time, and I don't want to be stuck down in the basement ;-)
Can anyone help me? I need a couple of minutes of alone time!!

Dinner with Wan Yin at the Buckhorn Exchange, Denver's oldest restaurant.
We had to try Rocky Mountain oysters.
Sounds funny? Why would there be oysters in the Rocky Mountains?
Well, that's because they are NOT oysters?
They are actually bull's testicles.
Deliciously sliced and fried in a batter, and served with a dipping sauce.
Yummy food and excellent company. It was a good dinner.

Kat has been taking swim lessons at our local YMCA.
I am, however, not impressed with the coaching provided. Will definitely look for another swimming class for her. Kat loves the classes though.

We went camping in New Mexico with hubby's ex-coworkers.
Had a great time out on the lake and enjoyed the good company.
I am very proud to say that yours truly did cliff jump into the lake, even though I have a fear of heights. I tried jumping off a few times, but when I am at the edge of the cliff, my mind takes over and my body comes to screeching halt after a running head start.
The ever adventurous hubby jumped quite a few times.
I will upload a video of his jump next.

haha.. you and I are the same. Some people can just run and jump off. My body has a "panic overwrite" mode. It stops!! haha..
