Yee-Haw!!

In June, the Moms' Club that I am a member of organized a trip to horse ranch around the area. This was a non-profit organization that took in horses that no one else wanted, so that these horse would not have to be put down.

Kat had been asking for some alone time with me, so I left the 2 younger ones at home and took Kat out for a couple of hours.

W got there and was told our chore for the day. We all had to do a chore on the ranch in return for about 20 minutes of riding time with the horse for free. Anyways, it was to scoop horse poop from the stables. Argh!!!!! But I had to put up a brave face for Kat. She on the other hand, was saying "Eww" the whole time she was shovelling it. I was quite embarrassed, because all the other kids were happily shovelling.

But it was only for a couple of minutes, and Kat totally enjoyed riding the horse. The trainer got her to do some tricks with her horse, named 'Sea Biscuit'. She rode with her hands up in the air, and then she had to pick up and put down a horse shoe whilst she rode. She loved it.

Then the kids went scavenging some cows' bones. Quite interesting. They also found a little gecko and was playing around with it. The day ended with some Popsicles. Yay!

A great day with Kat :-)

Looks like a fun outing! The 'eww...' horse poop, well, my sentiments exactly. Ha-ha-ha... way to go, Kat!
