The YMCA

After so many years of finding excuses for not joining the gym, we finally made the plunge and joined our local YMCA.

We paid for the membership and fees upfront for the year, so I think that helps me not think about how much we use it compared to what we pay.

It’s been working out good.

The girls go for swim lessons there and they really enjoy it. K also goes for ‘Catch’ 2 evenings a week. It’s a program where kids can exercise via playing games like basketball, soccer, etc

And A loves, loves, loves the Child Watch area. He expects to go in there every time we go to the gym. If we go for family swim on Sundays, and the Child Watch area is closed, he gets very upset about it.

Thankfully there is another area he likes as well – the indoor gymnastic play area for preschoolers. C likes that area too. K secretly likes it and is disappointed it’s only for kids under the age of 5 J

I have not used the gym facilities there, other than for family swim. There is a gym right in my office building, but I’ve only been twice.

It’s so much more tempting to spend my lunch hour chatting with my co-workers…. But with my pants getting tighter since I don’t do much but sit at my desk the rest of the day, I really do need to go!
