The zoo & ladies and shorts

How is that related, you may ask of the title of this post?

We were at the zoo this weekend, and we had a great time! Hubby managed to get free tickets and since it was a beautiful day out, we decided to make a visit. The kids had a blast because they saw and petted some animals, fed the birds, rode a pony and got their face painted. On top of that, they had a snow cone and ice cream! Happy kids but hubby's wallet got a little lighter.

Anyways, while I was there, I could not help but notice all the ladies who were wearing shorts that day. It was quite a warm day, and lots of women were wearing shorts. From my observation, there are 2 categories of women. The first would be women with nice and toned looking legs and calves. The second would of course be the jiggly and not too appealing-looking legs, with not so cute bums. Then I looked at my own..

The horrible truth is that my legs belong to the second category. Sigh...

I have never been a sporty person. The gym is a stranger to me. And I love food. That is my downfall. Loving food and disliking any form of exercise is turning me into a person who in a couple of years time will be eligible to go onto the Biggest Loser. I can see it right now - a trainer screaming at me on why I am destroying my life and have all these emotional baggage. Geez!

I got so chubby in the UK. I managed to lose some weight when I came back to work because there was a free gym in the office, and I also cut down on my food intake. I really need to do that. So recently I have reading up on the vegan detox diet. I was on a very similar diet when I was nursing Chloe because of her eczema. When I was on it, my pants were literally dropping off my waist every couple of days.

So I think I would like to start this diet this week. AFTER I enjoy the 4 day weekend ;)
