We went apple picking at Penrose, CO. Unfortunately we came a day after the first day of pumpkin picking, so very few berries left and the apples were way high in the trees. But they were delicious! Such a big difference between a fresh picked apple and one from the stores |

We got our pumpkins for this year already. 2 medium sized ones, and a littler one for Aiden. Will probably carve it a week before Halloween. |

We celebrated the Mooncake festival. Thankfully this year, it was not as breezy as it was last year in New Mexico, where we had to 'play' with the lanterns in the garage I did take out the traditional lanterns my mom sent me from Malaysia, but the wind kept blowing the candle out. Fortunately, I still had some Japanese lanterns in my box of holiday stuff. The kids played in the backyard and then ended up doing a lantern parade down our street. |

It is just past peak Fall colors here in Colorado. We took a drive up to Mueller State Park to see the Aspen trees. It was so beautiful with the warm weather. The state park was great, with lots of activities for the kids. The girls made a wildflower bookmark and then we did a guided hike. I have to make sure we make plans to visit Aspen to see the scenery there at this time of year. Have to visit the famous Maroon Bells near Aspen. |

Well, this has been some of things we have been up to recently. Just trying to enjoy the last few days of warm weather before the cold comes again. Kathryn is busy with school, gymnastics and art. Chloe is enjoying school very much as well as gymnastics. Well, on days when she does take a nap. Because if not, she doesn't listen very well. I enjoy my 3 hours of alone time with Aiden, and am trying to get back to a consistent workout routine in the morning.
Anyways, Happy Fall to everyone!
