Why? Why? Why?

My 2 year old has been asking a lot of 'why' questions recently.


"Mommy, who gave you that?" whilst pointing to my engagement ring.
"Daddy did"
"Why?"
"Because he asked me to marry him"
"Why?"
"Because he loves me"
"Why?"
"You have to ask your Daddy that question...."


"Go eat your dinner"
"Why?"
"Because you need energy"
"Why?"
"Because you are growing"
"Why?"
"Because... you are a little girl and you want to grow up big and strong, right?"
"Why?"
"Er... just because. Now eat your dinner"
