One fine day at school, I walked toward her daycare classroom on the school campus and this was what I saw:
A little girl with a pixie haircut twirling round, and round on the very top of the play structure. So carefree and happy with the wind blowing through her hair. The early evening sunshine was on her, and she looked so pretty...
I feel that image certainly represents her. She is my sensitive, petite, and sweet girl. But who can be such a diva and at times I feel she is 5 going on 15. Sigh... But I am thankful. She was such a mellow baby, and gave us a pretty easy time when she was a baby and a toddler. Many people used to tell me that she was so matured for her age. All her teachers and our friends always tell us how sweet she is.
She is our good helper around the house. Though we have noticed that because of her sister and now her brother, she has been wanting more attention from us. She has verbally told us that we spend too much time with Chloe and now with Aiden. And I don't blame her. I do think I spoil Chloe more. Got to blog about that in another post...
She is doing OK in school. Not fantastic. Homework is what she dislike the most. And I don't blame her. The amount of homework she gets is crazy! Even my parents think that it is silly how much she has to do each day.
What she needs to work on is on not daydream in class but learn to focus on her work at hand. I know she gets that from me. I tend to daydream when I was a child, and I also have noticed that I have a tendency to jump around from things to things. So that will be my goal for this summer when she is off school :-)
