Aiden at 1 month

I achieved my goal of fattening him up :-)

Aiden weighed in at 8 pounds even at his 1 month checkup. Woohoo!! I'm so glad he's finally getting some meat on his little body.

He is definitely more alert and has lately decided the tv is quite entertaining. He will turn his
head to watch the telly, especially when his sisters' shows are on. LOL!

But he has also developed a rash on his face. His doctor said it's baby rash which is typical due to maternal hormones in his body. But lookign at them this weekend, I think it might have turned into a bacterial skin infection instead. For those of you who know how bad Chloe's skin was during the first year of her life, you will understand how concerned I am right now. I really do think it is a skin infection and Aiden needs some antibiotics. Chloe's doctor did not catch it for 6 months and my poor baby suffered for 6 months. Sigh.. I definitely do not want a repeat of that.

In the mean time, I will cut down on things in my diet as well, since I am still breastfeeding i.e. no more shrimp, duck, etc. Hmm... thiniing about it, maybe I should not have the birds' nest that my mom is kaing tonight. I finally had some a couple of days ago. I can't remember if that was when the rashes started. Either way, I better stay away from it for awhile.

Anyway, for Aiden's full moon, we invited Chloe's god-parents out for dinner at a chinese restaurant at San Mateo, and then followed by a visit to our friends' new wedding gown store and ended the night with some 'toong sui' :-)

The next day, which was Aiden's real full moon, my mom made red eggs and we had chicken in wine soup with noodles for lunch before hubby left for Albuquerque.

Next week when hubby is back again, we will have some friends over to celebrate again.
Happy 1 month old, my little one!

Aiden is alert a lot more during the day (and night sometimes.. sigh).
Notice his little head support for his car seat is pink. That's because it was Chloe's :-)

Our little celebration at home. We forgot to cut his hair!

In his new outfit bought by grandma. I think he just woke up, that's why the grouchy face..

Congrats on hitting the 8oz mark so quickly! Mama's milk is so wholesome!

I truly understand why you're concerned about Aiden's facial rash. Hope it's cleared up by now.

By the way, don't understand why you have to use Dr Brown's bottles? They're not BPA-free, are they?

Heard from Yin that you are moving to New Mexico soon. When will that be? Not going to be easy to move with Aiden being so young, will it?

Anyway, keep up the good work! You're a fantastic mommy and don't worry about the state of the house.
