Bad air day.. hack, hack!

Oh, boy.. the air quality here these past 2 days have been quite bad.
The very dry weather, and a passing lighting storm a couple of days ago started quite a number of wildfires in California.
You can't help but switch on the tv and see reports about homes burnt down, etc..
It's no where near our home, but the wind patterns have pushed the smoke and haze to our area. This reminds me of those days in Malaysia where the air quality worsens due to fires in Indonesia.

Anyway, it should get better by this weekend. Which is great because summer is here full on. Lots of activities to do!
We have been to the tidepools to check out all the little sea creatures, strawberry picking, biking out at Golden Gate Park, etc..

Kat only has one more week of school before she gets 2 months off for summer. Grandpa will be arriving from Malaysia next Friday, so he has been set the responsibility of keeping her occupied and also to do her homework with her to prep her for kindergarten in September.. :-)

She graduates tomorrow night. So will hopefully blog about this this weekend.

But here are some pics of strawberry picking:

The girls climbing on the hay stack.
Those are apple trees in the background. So we plan to go back there in September/October to go apple picking :-)

Kat wheeling Chloe on her buggy.
However, since Kat got her big girl bike recently, Chloe has refused to go onto the buggy, but instead insist on riding her sister's tricycle.

Picking strawberries. I look extermely dorky here, because my mom insisted I wear the hat to shield my face from the sun.

You guys always have fun things to do over there.... so envious!

It's always too hot or rainy here to do anything outdoorsy.

And you don't look dorky at all! I love a nice sun-shielding hat actually.
