She is officially now a toddler and basically running the household now, as we all cater to all her whims and fancies. Woe on to you if you dare do anything not to her liking. HeeHee..
Her celebrations started with her 1 year old Chinese birthday celebration.
It was a weekday, so I came home early from work to see my little one picking her object of desire from the tray of goodies grandma set out for her. This is a Chinese custom where supposedly what the child picks foretells what her future will be like.
And what did she pick? She picked the bowl of sweets. Mom could not find 'fat koh' here and so replaced it with the sweets instead. After which, my dear girl saw the scissors and insisted on holding that too :-) And soon it was the chicken drumsticks
Daddy was sad that he missed his youngest daughter's celebration.
He missed Kat's cause we were back in Malaysia and he came back to SF for work already.
He was away in Denver this time for a meeting.
Oh well!
Here are some pics from that day.

Grabbing the scissors after throwing out some sweets from the bowl
Note: It was not a good skin day

Picking the bowl of sweets

Mmm.. I found a chicken drumstick
The funny part was how she insisted on gnawing on the bone, even though I turned it around for her. She would just turn it back around to chew on the bone!!
