Chloe is 6 weeks old!

My little one is 6 weeks old already
How time flies :-)

She is now:
9 lbs 2 ozs (as of last Wednesday)
21 inches long (at her 4 week checkup)

She is cooing and smiling.
It is so nice to get some response back, instead of just being this little person eating, sleeping and pooing. Haha!

She does not mind tummy time, unlike her older sister.
In fact, her little neck has been quite strong all this whilst.

She loves to watch tv.
We realized this when we noticed that she will insist on looking back at the tv while us holding her in the living room.

She loves looking at the blue star light that is in her room. I got scolded by her (i.e. loud shout) at about 3 weeks because I switched it off.

At about 7-ish, she will be fussy until we bring her into her room. Seriously.. She wants to be fed and held to sleep in her room, and not any where else.

She is a people person. I loves to be held. And does not like being put down.
It takes me forever to get out of her room after feeding and putting her to sleep because she keeps waking up when I put her down in her crib.

So she now sleeps with me on Kat's bed. And Kat sleeps with daddy on my bed. Sigh...
Hubby looks at me, and asks why I insisted on him setting up the crib before she arrived.
well, dear.. it is for nap times during the day (sometimes), and also for changing her diapers :-)

Anyway, Chloe has ezcema :-(
She is now on a very long routine after her bath because there is so many lotions and ointments to put on her. She does not enjoy that very much.
Let's see... Eucurin cream for the body (so thick, it's like diaper rash cream), Aquaphore ointment for the face, Johnson & Johnson baby oil for her head, and Yuyi old for her tummy (for gas). And of course the usual diaper rash cream for her tush.
But I thank god that is just ezcema, of which the doctor has said she has seen much worse. There are worst things to have in this life.

So because I am breastfeeding, I can not have any eggs and nuts. And minimal dairy, soy and seafood items. I think she is allergic to eggs because until this I have been eating at least one egg a day because both moms said I should be eating more to built up my energy after the birth! Ah well.....

Oh, and I noticed she is very sensitive to caffeine as well. Even in Milo! She gets fussier after I have Milo. So no Milo for me during the evenings or nights. I have not have coffee since I was pregnant. Hmm.. just realized no soda too, other than Sprite. Well, what can you do..

Yes, time just flies when you're enjoying the time with your newborn, isn't it? It's really heartwarming to know that you're just as much in love with Chloe as you were when Kat was born. Khim and I are afraid that after the first child, the subsequent ones will no longer be as special but your experience has taught me that it may not necessarily be the case.

Chloe is a lot like Nat. Nat's also a very light sleeper, a TV addict and sadly, has eczema too. But take heart, most of them do grow out of it.

I'm impressed that you're blogging so much even with 2 kids in the house. I did that too but later regretted coz I didn't get to rest much since I only used the computer when Nat was asleep. Then again, maybe you're a more efficient blogger than I am. Haha!
