Independence Day at Ardenwood

Eating yummy fresh hand-churned black cherry ice cream at Ardenwood. Happy 4th of July!

In the morning, we had gone for breakfast at the charity event at the Newark Firestation #3. Boy, there was a wait of at least 20 mins or more! But for $5 we had pancakes and sausages and coffee and juice (we asked for extra sausages, which we got :-)) Then there were police cars and bikes, and fire trucks we can touch and ride on. Plus there was face painting too!

We had lots of fun and doing our bit for charity too.

Next year though, we will come at 8am when they start so we can avoid the crowd.

Later in the evening, we went by the Ardenwood to see the animals, the hourse-driven coach and Independence Day events. It was a nice day out.
