Kat got her face painted at a birthday party

Hi all,

Hope you have been well. Kat, hubby and I are starting to come down with colds.

I think it's because the weather suddenly changes on us. We had glorious weather for awhile and suddenly on Sunday it turned cold and grey. Brrr. This reminds me of Ireland. So it went for a really happy atmosphere to all blah and yucky. It has even made us a little crabbier than usual. Blame it on the winter blues.

Kat has turned into a little question machine.
"What's that?"
"What happened?"
"Where ... is?" (She does not say "where is ...?" Yoda-like language. HaHa!)

So she's enjoying school so far. No more outbursts in the morning.
I've been going to my office in Palo Alto, so hubby, Kat and I have been commuting together last week and this week.
Just got word that my scheduled project has been postponed till don't know when. So might be doing the commute together with hubby and Kat for awhile. But there is only so much web-based learning a person can do :-) Might get myself onto a another project starting in 2 weeks time. Keeping my fingers crossed.

In the mean time, I am enjoying a more relaxed time at work and having lunches with friends I have not seen in a while :-)

Hmm.. that also throws off our vacation plans. Have to rethink when I will be available to go off on our annual family trip. What do you think? San Diego, Chicago, or Montana? Last year we went off to New York and Boston to visit our friends and relatives.
