- Bought Kat her Halloween costume (finally!). All the good stuff were gone. But I did manage to find a cow costume for her (for cheap too, hehe). And the best part is that she loves it and refused to take it off when I brought it back from the store.
- Will probably start work mid-November. So that means that I have to decide on where Kat will be for daycare/preschool. Very important decision. And also means that I have to go shopping for work clothes!
- A neighbour organized a neighborhood party at the nearby park. It was nice to meet the people to live around you and just chat. We will probably do this again early summer.
- Will be doing a playdate at a neighbour's house next week. She has 4 kids (alamak!), but 2 already goes to school while she has the other 2 with her at home during the day. They came by last night to see our house because we have exactly the same layout except we have the upstairs. And the four kids had such a good time playing. And she plays the piano. She has invited me to come over and play on her grand piano. How nice! But I'm a little embaressed since i'm really rusty with the piano now.
- Kat has been crankier and fussier than usual. My friend insists it's because I'm pregnant (I am not!). But I think it's because I have been telling her that Mommy will be going to work soon and she will be going to school. We have been taking her to see a number of schools. So I think she knows some big change is coming and is acting strange about it. I have heard kids do that. Either that or it's the terrible twos coming..
- Poker night last night at our place. It's so nice to have friends over for dinner and the men (Boys!) like their poker. Just a couple of friendly rounds of texas hold-em. Kat likes it when the kids come to play and the ladies get to chit-chat (though half the time we have to watch the kids)
- Installed cable in our bedroom. Finally gave in and let hubby get a small tv for the bedroom. He has been falling asleep one too many times in the living room watching tv.
- We have an approved list of tv programs to see now. Well, actually I do. he does not watch crap tv, but I am so intrigued with the lives of celebrities and reality shows, etc... total junk. And watching all these shows is not setting a good example of Kat, whom we want to cut down her tv time. And when she watches tv now, I try to make her watch educational ones.
- Kat loves movies: Toy Story, Shrek, Shark Tale, Finding Nemo.
- She has started singing to the songs in the movie.. "Strange.." The song in Toy Story. That's the only part she sings though :)
- Wiggles has been replaced by Caillou & Noddy. She still likes Barney (thought not crazy about him any more), JoJo the circus clown and Elmo
- Kat likes reading in bed.. a lot. Too much! Because Mommy is tired of reading all those books. It is endless. She fights off sleeping so that i will read her more books. Her current favourite is The Tooth Book by Dr. Seuss. I can read it 6-7 times, and she still wants more. If I won't read it, she will ask for another book. Aiyah...
