Chinatown fiasco

Went down to Chinatown for the day as we were planning to check out the Dragon Boat festival.

Mommy was so happy cause the bakery on Grant St was opne for business. They were closed for a month and a half. What kind of a business can afford to close that long? One which has one of the best egg tarts and other bakery items ever. Yummy! Plus it's less than a month before the Autumn Festival, so they have delicious moon cakes for sale..Ah....

So, Mommy got down from the car to get in line (yes, there is always a line). She had Daddy's money clip and cash with her cause she didn't want to dig through her purse. After a 15 minutes wait, she succesfully brought all the goodies back into the car. She remembers seeing the money clip and cash then.

Lunch time: So off we went to park the car and then had lunch at one of the restaurants. They only take cash.

Mommy: "Hun, I gave you back your cash and money clip, right?"
Daddy: "No!"
Mommy: "You sure?" Frantically looking through pockets and bag.
Daddy: "Alamak!"
Mommy: "Maybe it's in the car. Hurry up. I'll pay now"

We the rushed to the car. Can't see it anywhere.
Oh No!!!Mommy was so guilty cause there was more than $200 there. Daddy was angry for about a minute, but then said that it's OK. It's just money. We still went to the Dragon Boat festival.

But poor Mommy felt so bad for the entire day and the next couple of days.

Couple of days later...

Mommy: "Better clear my bag" (It was in a mess from all the ransacking the other day"
"eh.. What's this?" It was the money clip!
" Yea!!!"

Hehe.. It was in Mommy's bag all this time. Silly Mommy.
