Well, she's not a baby any more. She's a toddler; has been for quite awhile now. Running after her is my only form of exercise now. My yoga CDs have been collecting dust in my cupboard.
Kat is 18 months old. Went for her check up last week and she was not happy. Might be a contributing factor to her falling sick because she was playing with the toys there, where obviously other sick kids have been playing too.
Well, she is taller than 60% of kids her age, but her weight is only on the 10% line. That means she is light for her height. My mom has been bugging me about making Kat eat more, but how do you force someone to eat when they don't want to?? That takes out the whole enjoyment factor. I don't want to make Kat feel like food is torture.
All I can do now is giving her meals and snacks very often, and being patient and persistent in feeding her. Right now, Kat is having fun feeding herself with utensils. It's a slow and messy affair, but it makes her happy. Why not?
back to her checkup, Kat had to get 2 injections, a skin test and also a blood test. Ouch! That's why she remembers the doctor's room, and started screaming from the moment we stepped in. Aiyaiyai... Poor dear. I guess most kids do this?
