New York

New York, New York.. The city that never sleeps. Boy, are they right.

I've been here a couple of times, while hubby has been here once before. So this trip was more to hang out with friends and family and to just relax. But with the amount of walking we did, our feet didn't think it was relaxing!

Day 1
Flew into JFK from San Jose. Direct flight, nice.. for only about a hundred bucks too. Decent price. Waited for our baggage for a long time though. Suddenly, Kat just throws up, and she was just sitting in her stroller. Boy, it was not pretty. We had given her cheese on the flight. Whew! The smell! And it was all over her and the stroller. So in we went to the ladies room to get changed and cleaned up. We finally got our bags, and found this loonng.. line for a cab. And it was about 9pm NY time too. Oh no.. So we ended up sharing a shuttle with two other ladies (who were husband bashing all the way into the city - 45 mins. Very interesting to hear their conversation. hey, my daughter fell asleep. No one else was talking.)
Got to our friend, Yin's place. She made dinner for us as a surprise. Thank you!

Day 2
Woke up late (Kat was not on NY time during the while trip), and the went for brunch somewhere in the upper west side. Yummy food. Totally stuffed. After which, we went to the Children's Museum of Manhattan for Kat to play. I've joined a children's museum here, which gives me free entrance to a number of children museums around the country. very cool. I highly recommend joining them.
Then it was off to the Ninth Avenue Food Fair, which could be the biggest street fair in NY (i read it somewhere).
Dinner? Malaysian food. Yay! And the followed by dessert. Heaven.
Met up with hubby's friends from michigan, who are now in Jersey, and also my aunt who lives in Queen's. She had not seen Kat for about a year now. Kat still remembers her after coming back home. She calls my aunt, Poh-Poh too (it's suppose to be Yee-Poh).
very fruitful day.

To be continued...
