Howdy-Doody Day

Saturday is usually Gym day with Daddy.

Well, today I signed them up for a special western themed daddy-and-me event.
As usual, Kat was happy running around the place and not cooperating very well in circle time. That was also because she didn't nap very long in the morning, and so was kind of running on empty.

I guess I would have to tell oyu more about the gym.

We signed her up with classes at the baby gym place.

She has so much fun running around, climbing things, interacting with other kids, etc.
Every class has some structured playtime with songs and games. So it's a good introduction to what they would do later in pre-school.

There are some kids who are so well-behaved i.e. listening to the instructor, sitting quietly with their mom or dad during circle time. And where will my daughter be?? Out of the circle, playing on the equipment. Sigh... I wish I had taken her to these classes when she was younger. I highly recommend it for babies about 6 months of age, or when they are crawling. I know what hubby will say at this comment: "I mentioned the class to you ages ago!" yes, yes.. you did.

I do hope that she will learn when to sit and listen at the right times. But till then, there is lots of running around after her. I don't want her to be a passive child. I'm proud that she is very curious and is not shy with kids. But I would like for her to have a nice balance. Don't get bullied, but also not be a bully.
