Kat is sleeping right now, so I have some time to write. There is so much since the last time I blogged, so I will have to be brief.
Kat is now 13 months old. Yay!
We celebrated her birthday with her grandparents, granduncles, grandaunts, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc... you get the picture. We celebrated it a week earlier on Thanksgiving day though, cause CK had to go back to work after his vacation. It was funny having a 9-course Chinese meal for dinner instead of turkey. Haha..
She is now walking very well, and in fact, has progressed to running. well, almost running. Other accomplishments:
- Climbing up the stairs to the very top. Unfortunately, she does not know how to get back down yet.
- Pretending to sneeze.. Ah-Choo! She tilts her head back and sneezes. It's rather funny.
- Picking her nose. She does this when you ask her where her nose is. The gross thing is then she will then stick her finger up your nose too. Eww!! Oh.. and she knows where ears and eyes are too.
- Throws a ball.
- Putting things in and out of containers.
- Putting lids back on the containers.
- Loves going out. She runs to the door, if she thinks anyone is going out. And she knows that she needs a key and also knows how to operate the doorknob. Plus, she needs she shoes too, or else she can't walk on the ground. Funny...
- She shares her biscuits or any other food, or any other thing she is holding. Unless it is something new to her, and then she will just pretend to give it to you..
- Loves flipping through books, photo albums, etc. But has no concentration to actually look at what is in the book. Sigh...
- Can not sit down to a meal. She has a very short attention span. I've been told that she is exactly like her Daddy in that sense! Too much energy.
- Loves playing hide-and-seek.
- Loves getting massages, because she is tickelish!
- Says Mama (mommy), Dada (Daddy, though has not said it for a while since he's not around), Poh-Poh (Grandma), Doh-doh (Dog), Ah-Boh (Aunt), Ah-Gong (Grandpa, but just once)
- Loves playing with the telephone. Picks it up and pretends to be listening to it. Well, she pretends even without the phone. Hello, hello??
See.. she's grown so much. But not a lot physically. She is still rather petite. It didn't help that she had a bout of Croup a couple of weeks ago. My poor baby was sick... Her throat and voice box was inflammed, and so she could not eat very much and her voice was so hoarse. But she's all better now.
Except for she now has lots of mosquito bites. It's the mozey season now... and they seem to love my little baby's tender skin and sweet blood. Ck is furious that I let so many of them attack our baby while she sleeps. Kat even managed to squish one to his death while she was sleeping! The mosquito was so full of blood that he was too heavy to fly!
